showered with generosity

this past weekend, our soon to be family of three was so blessed by so many women in marietta. drew grew up surrounded by such amazing families that have loved him so well. one of his long time friend's mother and sister threw baby fisher a shower. over the past 5 years of being with drew, i have gotten to know the barry family and am constantly amazed at how well they serve and celebrate others. julie, who lives in california, created and planned the decorations for the celebration... and had them shipped across the country to make it for the shower in ga. together, they created such a sweet environment for all of us to celebrate this new life coming to join us so soon!
to say that we were showered with generosity, is an understatement. i was absolutely blown away by the way that these women cared for the mccleskey family. i loved getting to meet the sweet ladies that susan works with and even drew's kindergarten para-pro. it was also such a fun time to see the other long time friend's mothers that have cared for drew throughout his life. to be a recipient of this generosity was overwhelming. moving on to the pictures...
the wonderful hostesses, Mrs. Barry and Julie
the moms and daughters
we cannot thank these women enough for pouring such love over our family. we really had a great weekend... one saturday closer to meeting baby fisher!

30 weeks and more

more of this growing belly at 30 weeks...

more details about life to come soon...

little man shower

this past weekend, my dear college friends threw us our first baby shower... and it was absolutely amazing. beyond just seeing all of these wonderful people that i love with all my heart, we were showered with such love and generosity that brought me to tears throughout the day.
after eating a delicious brunch, we began playing games...
once the games subsided, it was time to open the gifts...
as soon as we arrived home, we unloaded the car and began looking through all of fisher's new goodies. we were totally overwhelmed with the love poured over us and of course, the tears continued as i read all of the wishes for baby fisher and recapped the shower events to drew.

recent life

our lives have been full, as always... but here are random snapshots of what we have been up to in the last week:
last weekend we got to watch the kimsey boys overnight, for a great adventure...
eating lunch after a long nap, and loving their friend- Luna
getting ready for the day... Luna was taking it all in
Taking a stroll around the neighborhood
ending the night with shopping and playing at the mall of ga

next up- i had my first flower to bloom in my life! i planted a lot of bulbs last year and never saw any flowers... and to my surprise in the last days of february, a year later, multiple beauties began to sprout. i have yet to see the first ranunculus bloom, but the greenery is there... so i am hopeful!
yesterday was read across america day and baby fisher made a debut at school...
last night, we arrived at my brother jeremy's house to visit for the weekend... he is back in charleston for grad school and it is so much fun to enjoy this town with him.
this morning, i woke up to this beauty: (jer planned our first activity of the day- some nice, exercise for pregnant women. it has been pretty hilarious to listen to.)
i hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend- i will be back soon with more to come...
